In a couple of threads yesterday and today, some posters have asked
about the availability of Dunbar's Risk Analyzer for Video Poker. (I
appreciate Bob Dancer's kind words about my program!) Anthony
Curtis's "Las Vegas Advisor" (www.ShopLVA.com, 702-252-0655) is now
taking orders. They will have it in stock some time next week.
As some posters have noted, this is not the same as the
earlier "Dunbar's Risk Analyzer", which was geared toward blackjack
and other games with near even-money payoffs.
Dunbar's Risk Analyzer for Video Poker will do very precise longterm
RoR calculations based on the jazbo/sorokin type approach. But its
main strength IMO is the ability to do short-term ("Trip"
or "Session") RoR calcs. You can find out how much money to bring
on a 2-hour trip, a 2-day trip or how much money you might need for
the next 2 months of play. Also, for both longterm and short-term
RoR calcs, the program takes into account the effects of cashback,
tipping, player errors, and irretrievable taxes. There is also a
Goal feature that reports how likely it is for a Goal to be reached
during a session.
Dunbar's Risk Analyzer for Video Poker requires a PC with Excel 2000
or later.

PS--I'm sorry that I did not respond more quickly to the earlier
threads, but my email-notification from vpFREE abruptly stopped 2
days ago, due to too many bounces. I've had intermittent trouble
with bouncing to and from my Hotmail address over the past few
months, a very disconcerting phenomenom.
