Hello, Have any of you Peppermill players stopped receiving offers? I have and also when I swiped my card last month at their kiosk my PIN didn't work. It was a PIN I've been using for years. The Player's Club let me set up a new one and I haven't been back to see if that one is blocked but will check it when I return to Reno in a few weeks. Also, I've had charges on my credit card from several visits last fall that only said Peppermill Front Desk on my statements. I asked my host several times over 3 months what the charges were for and would not get an answer!
My credit cards had been charged with room charges in the past and asked him what they were for and he was very open with me and said that they were meals that should have been comped and he would credit my cc.
Last month I called VIP services to see if I could get some details of what was on my cards and was told that some were from the spa and then others were from Biscotti's, the espresso bar and the deli.
I was told those restaurants were part of my "package" and they would always be comped. I was also told by my host that my spa treatments would be comped.
The VIP Services person suggested that I talk to Accounting and maybe they could give me more details of the $$ amount of each charge. This is my credit card that I have a right to know what's on it!!
I spoke with a woman in Accounting and she said that the charges were from 4 different trips! She said that she would contact a Mktg person and get them taken off and call me back. When I spoke with her again she said that he wouldn't comp any of them because he looked at my account and I had no comps left! huh?
I wasn't winning in August or September. I had an amazing run in Oct and November and came out ahead for the year. I was pissed about the cc situation and not feeling like a valued guest so I cancelled my reservation in December and let them know why and stayed at the Atlantis and Harrahs and got clobbered. The Peppermill could have had my winnings and more back if they weren't so elusive and dishonest.
I met a former vp player at the Peppermill at Harvey's last week and told him about how I was feeling about the Peppermill and he said that he had enough points to being Diamond and his host told him that it would have to be approved by his boss even though he had the points! He said that he had won a slot tournament and also had a winning year 2 years ago, I beleive. He was playing there one day and decided to go up to the Player's Club to get the Diamond Card himself and they gave it to him because he had met the point requirement.
A short time later he received a call from the Peppermill that he would no longer be able to earn comps because he had a winning year but he was always welcome to play! He hasn't been back in almost 2 years.
He also told me about a friend of his who used to work there and was a big slot player and they cut her off since she was a winner and she can't have access to the large amount of comps she had earned as an employee.
What's sad is that the Peppermill has been my favorite place to play for so long. I'm really bummed and upset about this. They don't have to be so dishonest and elusive.
My hosts at Harrahs in Reno/Tahoe and at the Atlantis are great! They are very polite and upfront about my status and there are no questions left unanswered. Of course Harrahs and Atlantis have comp systems where you can see exactly what you have where you never know with the Peppermill. The rooms in their offers come out of your comps and their "free play" used to also. It was printed on the offer even though my host insisted that free play wasn't taken out but it was for a long time.
