20 years w/o a Royal! "How is that possible?" That's the same question I asked a member (who will remain anon). He had that issue about 10 years ago. He had been coming to vegas for years from California but because of "better" machines and cashback he was breaking even even without a royal (and of course having fun gambling and getting comps).
You get a quad about every 500 hands.
So deuces will be 500 hands x 13rank card ranks = every 6,500 hands (over millions of hands).

As far as how much money between royals - Depends if you are a five cent or a Benjamin gambler
Two things seem to be true however:
1) You will get Aces when you need Dueces and vice versa on some days.
2) If you gamble long enough you will get someting like 5 Royals in one day. Happened to my wife. But she's gone 5 cycles w/o a Royal!

Moving into 20 years without a Royal. This time not even the 4 ducks!
Played two days at Palms on their progressive dueces machines. They are now moved back by the front door. I ran 6,000 points through. I doubt if this is enough for a royal cycle, but surely is enough to normally hit the ducks. Does anyone know how many dollars this translates to? How many dollars to normally hit ducks? Royal?
This time I stayed away from urinals numbers 3 and 5 and also 4 and 6. I tried 1 and 7(when available) to no avail.
Just got through making reservations for November. Staying at GN, but will probably play at Palms as there are not playable machines downtown in dueces now. Perhaps I need to learn a new game!
