About 3 years ago in Indiana I was playing $1 NSUD and was dealt 3 deuces. I drew 2 cards and the first card up was a deuce. But I had 3 again. I had a mechanic open the machine and tell me what happened. He said you were dealt 3 deuces and only held 2. If you think that it was a machine malfunction they will return your $5. Some weeks later I played the same machine. If I tapped the draw button to hard the second card from the left disappeared.
In most states for a malfunction they will only return the money you put in that hand.
