Drive to Reno from Vegas?? Is it worth it?? XVP

The drive to Reno CAN be very interesting. It requires a fast car, a good driver and a radar detector. (Remember The Cannonball Run?) The challenge to make it interesting is to make the trip in under 4 hours. It can be done.<g> That trip is one of the best in the country for extended high speed driving if that is your thing.

Isn't it cheaper in the long run to drive to Reno than pay $100, or
$200 if you have two people, in airfare to fly to Reno. What would
gas cost? $30 maybe round trip?

If you have never been to the desert before it might be quite
interesting. When I lived in the east and made my first trip to the
desert, it was all interesting and beautiful. Now, except for Utah,
it is just "ho hum" to me.

Considering it's about 900 miles rd/trip I would think it's going to cost
you a bit more than $30 for gas unless you're driving something that gets
about 50/mpg!
