I don't think anything ever was published about it. It was so good
that anyone who knew about it kept it to themselves. The payback and
strategy could not be done by Winpoker or VPStrategyMaster and had to
be done individually.

What is this game? If it is still a great play, you don't have to
mention locations. Sheer curiousity brings the question, as I have
never seen or heard of the game until now.

I don't think anything has ever been published on this game because it
was so good anybody who played it kept it to themselves. It is
extinct now, though, so I guess I can tell. The game was on many 25
cent Bally Gamemaker machines and some $1 ones. It was in as least 25
to 30 casinos in Nevada. I never knew it to be in any other state or
country although I heard a rumor than it was in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The pay schedule was 6/5/4 Double Bonus Poker with the added rule that
if after the draw you ended up with either a 4 card Straight Flush or
a 4 card Royal Flush and no paying hand, then you got to draw again
and again until you had a paying hand. Usually this was just a High
Pair or straight or flush but occasionally you got the SF or RF. The
cycle on the RF was 9780 hands and on the SF it was 1070 hands. The
variance was high (over 70) but the payback was 103.2%. The payback
and strategy could not be calculated by any commercially available
software and were computed by the people who played it.

To me it was the most fun video poker game of all time. After it
went extinct I made a post or two about the game. I wouldn't have
done that if I thought there was a chance the game would come back.
I didn't find out about the game until the summer of 2002. Around
Northern Nevada I found the game in Fernly,
Fallon, Sparks, Yerington, Wells, Elko, Minden.
I had to write the strategy with a calculator but a couple of years
later I got to compare it to Doug's and their was only two minor
differences.
The problem with the game, besides the high payback percentage (not a
problem for me but for the house) was you made royals so fast it was
very, very hard not to attract attention. I hit three royals in four
hours once in Elko at Stockmans and they payed me for the last two
with twenties. It was just a little sawdust joint. I was getting
the eagle eye so hard at that point that I decided I better give that
place a break.
A friend and I landed at Stockmans in Fallon figuring to play for at
least a few days or more but he went off for four royals in four
hours and put all the hired help in a very sour mood. If looks could
kill! So we decided to drag up. Luckily for me we were chopping the
money.
I found the game in Mindlen sat down and promptly hit a royal. While
I was waiting on the hand pay the attendent pointed at the machine
beside me and said "You should play this machine too." I asked why.
She said "A guy was playing here last night and hit seven royals
between these two machines." I wonder who that was.
Like I said, the most fun VP game of all time.

Mickey, I hit 6 royals in Minden one day in about 6 hours but it was
on 4 different machines. Twice I had two royals side by side waiting to be paid. --- In vpFREE@yahoogroups.com, "mickeycrimm" <mickeycrimm@...> wrote:

You ever notice how hired casino help are always your best friends
until you win too much. That is of course if you dont toke them
exactly what they believe they're entiled to! The cage cashiers are
the worst in my opinion.

I worked my butt off for 3 months, But now I'm on 2 weeks R&R and have
been edtremely busy walking back and forth between the jacuzzi and the
steam shower. I'll try to make some posts on DTUW as time permits.
But a very relaxng poker game is fixing to start; loose-passive. My
favorite kind. Maybe I can rent one of those electric wheel-chairs to
get back and forth from the hotel room to the poker room.
