Palms has its own shuttle to the strip I believe(call them on their
800 number)...so you could bus to the strip on a city bus or take the
deuce with all the tourists and get down close to Flamingo and the
strip....then catch the Palms shuttle or even the Gold Coast shuttle..
(or walk over it is only a mile or so if you need some exercise, I
have done it).or I believe the Orleans is within walking disance and
Rio also (both I think have free shuttles).. they all have free
shuttles.... check with them. Many free shuttles to strip close to
Palms.
My advice... take a city bus route that crosses Flamingo slightly
west of it and walk a few blocks...probably fastest and
easiest...Others who have done this may give exact and more helpful
directons, but this gets you close.

Cheapest Way!!! Well I got this from another group and a trip
report, somebody took a FREE shuttle from California to Sams Town.
Then a FREE shuttle to Bills, Then a FREE shuttle to Gold Coast and
walked across the street.
Misscraps in message 73202 provided the best information in using
public tansportation and getting 24hr roundtrip tickets for $2.50 on
regular city busses and paying only .50 to transfer to the Deuce.
Also that the Deuce (more expensive at $5.00) is scenic if a touristy
experience is wanted, although slow. Unfortunately she changed the
subject title to Palms to downtown so her reply doesnt appear
connected to this thread.
The poster on the cheapest way took a cab back and complained about
the cost but didnt report it so I bet it was pricey.
I think we need a roving reporter (JT a crepuscular assignment for
you) to try this and report back to the group scenic highlights and
total time spent on free shuttles and waiting times. I think the LVA
Pocketbook has a free dog and beer coupon at Bills also in it, an
added value to this excursion to members there.
Lets get some Royals!!!

The cab fare back was reported to me at $37.00 to go to Fremont from
the Palms, although the rider did say the driver took some unfamiliar
route back to him....must have been the scenic route.

Remember, if u take a taxi, be aware of the cab company name and cab number -you were very badly ripped off here -
