Although I don't follow the LV market, I'm sure it's even worse there. Once
a vicious negative cycle starts, it's hard to stop. Also, since the odds
of having a split congress are good, efforts to help out the economy will be
stymied which means NV will be last to recover. If you want to live there,
best strategy is to rent & watch the market till it bottoms out, then buy
on the upward trend. This may take years though except for Battle Mountain
area which is doing well now.

Hey does anyone know the scoop on those Downtown Reno highrise condo's
like Riverwalk and Montage et al? When I look at realtor.com it is showing
units in those buildings at a tiny fraction of the asking price that they
were a few years ago. Personally I think it would be fun to live in downtown
Reno. It's hard to find any info that's current on the internet. I was just
wondering if the buildings are half empty, if the condo assoc's in these
buildings are in disarray etc.
