Downgrades to Casino Rama

Well folks the smart players are being given the shaft at Casino Rama .

The 9/6 JoB are gone.

Best game is 9/6 ddb and airport/Illinois deuces which is only available on $1 - 3/5/10 play machines and $5 single line machines.

If anyone is wondering if Casino Rama has brought back any of the better video poker games, I can tell you that they haven’t.

We were there Dec. 17 (for my wife’s birthday), and could see no significant improvements. We confined our play to a bit of 25c super aces before heading to St. Germaines for dinner. Our primary purpose for selecting Rama for dinner was to use up some of our considerable comp dollars.

Amazingly, the folks at Rama claim that “play volume has increased” since the changes were made. I don’t know what they consider "play volume " to be, but I do know that the total daily coin in of all the mostly short coin nickel players that I observed Wednesday would be unlikely to equal what I used to put on there in an hour.

I guess the lower volume higher return business model is working for them.

I think they are feeding a line of B.S. to anyone who will listen in order to justify their actions. The only thing I know is that I no longer play their machines and when I do occasionally go up there, I now play minimum stakes table games.

They have lost me as a serious player.
