Down for Up Grade

We were at the Horseshoe in Bossier City this past weekend. Sometime on Sunday afternoon
there were paper signs posted on every machine on the 1st level (lowest level, where most of
the VP machines are located) stating that these machines would all be brought down at
midnight for a system upgrade. Visiting the 1st level on Monday morning (about 7:30 am),
the entire area was roped off and inaccessible. I could see technicians working on banks of
machines, but I had no idea what they were doing. Several inquiries to several HET people
gave me no information whatsoever, not even an estimate as to when any machines on the
1st level would be up and operating again. We left Bossier City at about 9:30 Monday. Does
anyone know what might have been going on? Is there any later infromation as to when the
1st level machines become accessible again?

We were there the 17, of Oct. and they had paper tags on a bunch of
slots and VP saying the same thing. On different levels, not just the
first? I've sent a email to and old contact from Harrah's to see if he
still works for them? If i get any answers i'll post it. But, like i
said it is an old one, the contact that is? We are scheduled to paly
there the first Sunday in Nov. if you don't have any answers by then
i'll report, K?

As far as i have seen there are no change to the VP at the Horseshoe.
We are still here waiting to play the first session of the
Tournament at 9:40 AM. They made some changes to some of the slots
but i think they were internal changes? For example, i remember the
Top Gun slots were shut down the last visit.... thought they were
due to be removed? They are still here and up and sucking in money?
The 50/100 plays seem to be the same, played both. Jacks ; NSU
Deuces ; Bonus Poker delux and Double Bonus are still the same
paytable. So far this trip we be down 2K,and don't have any more to
lose. So, if the Tournament don't put any cash back in the hoppers,
we be down and out for a while....hope springs eternal though!
