Double-Up Feature on VP

This is a repeat of this question - can't remember if it didn't get posted but I know I didn't get any responses.

Is this ever called the "Double-down" feature on a VP machine? I could see
where both terms could describe the same feature. (I know - double-down is
the term used in BJ - but is it ever used in VP?)

I believe I've only seen this referred to as a "Double Up" on standard
vp play (I may be wrong). As Scot notes, there is a variety of stud
vp called "Double Down".

If I were to seek out a way in which to discriminate between these two
terms, I'd suggest:

"doubling down" is adding a bet equal to an existing bet (presumably
because a favorable outcome is expected), when permitted;

"doubling up" is an even money bet using proceeds of a prior win with
the goal of doubling the money.
