I have seen the same thing happen a few times. I do wish that I could
understand this reaction. Do they really want to LOSE while playing
short coin? Why play short coin if you are going to whine when you
score a Royal? If you can't afford full coin, why not drop down in
denom. or drop out of playing altogether, until both your actual and
pyschological bankroll is enhanced?
Just my opinion, of course. No offense meant to those who like to
play short-coin. I just don't understand the attitude that, when
electing to play that way, scoring a big hand is resented rather than
appreciated.
