Double points at the 'Woods

Foxwoods will have double points for the month of May. Hours are, as
usual, as follows:
Sundays: 8-11a, 6-8p, 10-Noon
Monday-Thursday: 2-4a, 8-10a, 12-2p, 6-8p, 10-Midnight
Friday: 2-4a, 8-10a, 12-2p, 6-8p
Saturday: 8-11a

I usually play weekdays for 6 hours during the 10 hour stretch from
6p-4a. That gives me 2 2hr breaks to walk around the largest casino
in the world and hit the band at the Atrium for last call. Of the
machines on the database, the quarters get more play, especially the
DJ (99.63% 22.4var) which I find more of the avid VP players play. I
play the JWD (99.97% 22.1var), but most of the others who play it
seem to be more of the less knowledgable slot player type who find
the machine lucky and rub it saying "That's my boy" as if they were
patting Jonathan the UConn Huskie dog.

The .50 machines are not worth it because you might as well play the
$1 for the higher comp rate. Of the $1's, it's a toss between
playing the DB (99.26% 30.4var) or the BP (99.17% 20.9var). The
former is better if bankroll is no object and you know its strategy.
Otherwise, the latter is better with regular JOB strategy yielding
the same %. http://videopoker.fws1.com/wrong_strat.html
Double points yield 2.22% on both of these vs 1.43% on the quarters.
It's just a question of how much you can use your points. They
recently added more shows to the Fox theatre:

Good information. We used to play the JWD (Double Jokers)both in 25
cents and the lone $1 (when it was flat top). Cut our VP teeth on the
AA machines in the good old days.
The $1 BP and DB are O.K. as you can buy Mobil Gas Cards with points.
I think a $50 card was 75 points at the Wampum Store.
We haven't gone to Foxwoods for a long time. Wife no longer invited
to Slot tournaments so she won't help to pay their electric bill
Five more days and Las Vegas here we come.

Haaljo, Are you going to play the 101.4% OEJ at Sam's Town?

Stevie,
Its a great 25 cent game. If only we were LV locals. Then we would
practice and play. The plan is to play good $1 games at the Hilton and
River Palms. I like Sam's Town but get no mailings. I should call them
and make sure the computer doesn't have "no mail" listed.
We are in a $75K slot tournament at the Hilton (no charge)and the River
Palms $110 bounce-back adds to the fun of playing Multistrike Double
Bonus.
Two nights/one day at NYNY to cash in $200 free-play and double points
and two tickets to "KA". Our NYNY host "feels sorry" for us and gave us
the KA tickets. She is sad because most VP players are no longer
invited to NYNY tournaments.
