Glad the article link was appreciated. I'm a little perplexed at the
"different scenario" you're referring to vs. the "true Double Bet"
version.

For starters, I was aware of only one version of Double Pay.

Second, the machine you describe in your original post -- 5-play
100-coin w/ 60,000 coin dealt RF -- sounds fully consistent with
Dancer's machine write-up, except with 20 coins bet per hand (10 on
the deal, 10 on the draw) rather than 10 per hand.

Is there something I missed that causes you to suggest you were
talking about a different beast where the math would be different?
