Seems to me I mentioned that a bad effect of doubling up was that it slowed your play. I'll agree that if the points are enough to turn a negative expectation game into a positive expectation situation, then a side effect of doubling up is to reduce your expected win rate, but that is a rare situation. More often, the slot club rebate is not enough to turn a bad game into a good situation, in which case slower play is good in that it reduces your expected loss rate.

Sorry, but doubling up slows your play and on coin in systems, since
you get points based on coins in, you will get less points/comps by
doubling.
