There are Dotty’s in Darien, and Westmont and I think in Countryside (corner of La Grange & Plainfield Rd.) in the western burbs. Those are just locations I have seen.
Trying to gain business by not honoring coupons may not be a good tactic.
Totally understand what you mean about the poor return on games, however send me a free $20 coupon to a place a few blocks away, and I’ll get around to using it, even if it takes me a few months to use a coupon with no expiration date.
Thanks ms_vpfree_3 for copying me on Howard’s reply.
Any idea how Illinois video gaming locations are doing around the state. Cannot help but think they are putting pressure on the boats, but I hardly think people a waiting in line to play at these places.

On a different note I did receive a Free Play offer from Hollywood Joliet for $45. Have not been there, but used to frequent the Empress until they abandoned 99.5%+ VP a few years ago. (that may not be worth the drive). —In vpFREE_Chic…@…com, <ms_vpfree_3@…> wrote :
I’m pretty sure Testpro meant Dotty’s. They have many slot parlors in Nevada and even own some full-fledged casinos - Laughlin River Lodge formerly the River Palms and the Hoover Dam Lodge formerly the Hacienda in Boulder City.
I’m copying Testpro on this in case he has something to add.

I have not seen Dotty’s in this area. Was it Betty’s? Those are all over the area. As you mention, the best pay table I have seen in these houses is 96.51% and Betty’s about 1% below that. Of course, I have not spent a cent in these places. IGT has a game in these places where plain quads spin a wheel. (Not wheel poker or any variant of it.) I have seen no info about how this affects return. Have You?

We finally made it to Dotty’s to use a coupon they sent us about 3 months ago. They said it was too old, and although it did not have an expiration date, they would not accept it.
Sadly knowing the pay scales there we had to leave. Good business move though, distribute coupons to get people in the door and then fail to honor the coupon. No need for an expiration date, the never planned to honor it.
I know this will not be devastating news to anyone smart enough to read this forum, but I feel I owe it to Dotty’s to let people know how they treat people.
