Dollar Rental

Please be careful about the full size cars at Dollar. Hopefully

someone here

can confirm this. I have been told that the full size Intrepids at

Dollar

are gone. Right now, they are putting you in a Suzuki if you have

a full size

reservation.

This is correct. Dollar is using Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV's as Full
size in a few stations out west.

I rented one of these Suzukis in Phoenix a few months ago. It had a
V6 and was adaquate.

I've recently found that Thrifty has the best rates for LV. Of
course, YMMV.

Thrifty is always coming up better when I plan trips, 3 day compact
$54-60 v. around $100 for Dollar. Do not like Thrifty's operation as
much as Dollar's, but I never any problems.

As a fastlane member for dollar, you bypass the line at the airport
and proceed directly to the shuttle that drops you off at the parking
lot. They give you the paperwork as you exit.

Fast lane is free and can be signed up for at the dollar web site.

Just rented a neon for 7 days and the total was $120.

Hi WC21
I like your idea. Even if I wait to get to rental office to do paper
work it can be a slow process. I am going to sign Fastlane tonight.
Airport rental always seems to be cheaper for me. Hotel rental seems
to be more. I could never figure that out.

I checked Thrifty as some have suggested. Came up $2 more on the day
I checked. Ain't this something? We go and spend hundreds or
thousands, depending on bankroll, yet many of us spend hours to save
a couple bucks on rent for car. I'm #1 at this waste of time.
