One reason that someone may need to go inside to the counter is to add
souse as an authorized driver. Currently, Dollar does not allow you to add
your spouse to your profile. It would be nice if they just did as Hertz #1
Gold does, and simply automatically consider your spouse to be an authorized
driver.

I am not 100% sure, but I think you can add your spouse at the checkout booth, instead of going inside.
