Dollar Fastlane - When do you sign rental?

Hi all

Was wondering when one signs the rental papers using Fastlane. If bus
drops one at cars do you sign at check out booth in lot? Or do you
sign at airport? Can the second named driver sign to pick up car and
the first named driver sign later. The first named driver gets the
senior discount so he has to be named as renter. I'm going in Nov and
my flight gets to Vegas about 2 hours later than the others. I wanted
to let the others pick up rental and I can cruse off the plane into
my rent a ride, no waiting. The bulk of my luggage goes with the
others. I'll have carry on. I don't belong to Fastlane. I was
wondering if Fastlane might solve my problem. Like my signing at
airport, if it's possible for one of the others to return with the
rental.

Any ideas?... Cheers...Whitejeeps

Fastlane members sign the forms at the check out booth. I don't know about the driver switch. I would suggest you call the Las Vegas Dollar location.

Hi Albert

I sort of guessed the booth is where one signed. I don't have fast
lane as I didn't want to leave credit card with them. However, I may
just sign up. What's the difference if the computer has my number or
some desk person has my card numbers. The computer may be a safer bet.

I guess calling them is the best bet.

Thanks for the input....Cheers...Whitejeeps

As the other posts have indicated if you belong to Fastlane you sign
your forms when you leave the lot. However, if you need to add a
second driver which I had to recently you have to stand in the
seemingly endless line in the office. Dollar and Fastlane are great
as long as their are no changes. If I had to stand in that line each
trip I would pay the extra money for someone else.

Good luck!

Hi there

Maybe I got it wrong. Let's say there are three drivers listed. Do
all of the drivers have to show up at rental office to have the
driver license check or can we put all the drivers on rental using
the net. Of course I guess a call might be bestway to find out. Then
again sometime even those folks don't know how to hanle something
different from regular.

With Fastlane you can't add extra drivers over the internet. I tried
and just to be sure I also called them. There is a special Fastlane
line in the office which does move quite a bit quicker than the
regular line but still a wait. And as we all know when we have just
arrived in Vegas waiting one extra minute to get to the casino is just
pure agony. I had to wait about 20 minutes and I got the impression
that the line was pretty much normal.
