Does slot club help for reservations at Wynn?

I earned my 500 points and free buffets in June in my first visit to
the Wynn (not staying there). I was considering trying to stay there
in December. The website says something about using your Red card for
reservations, but I don't see anywhere to log in or to enter your
player number on the website. Chances are my 500 points worth of play
aren't going to make any difference in room rates but you never know -
does anyone know if there is a way to check online or if it requires a
phone call?

Yeah the Wynn website is a total bandwidth-hog and really not very
helpful, especially the gaming section. There's no way to track points
or do anything like that. If you're planning on putting a lot more
play there in the trip to come, you may want to try to set up a
relationship with a host over the phone. There are a few hosts listed
in the database - mine is Stephen Gruner and he's great. Don't bother
with the boothlings, though; if you deviate from their script, even an
iota, their heads explode. That's messy to clean up.

Your 500 points isn't going to get you a lot of respect at Wynn. I
agree with "peppermillionaire." Find Stephen Gruner or another host
when you get there. A reasonable amount of action will get you some
more buffets, maybe a room comp, or some $$ knocked off your bill.
Don't expect a lot more, especially if you know where the full pay
machines are.

They can be a difficult booth, and while I share some of your
sentiment, they are nowhere in the class of the Bellagio booth, who
are unmatched for its arrogance and inquisitiveness. For those who
remember the TV show The Prisoner, some of my episodes with the booth
are reminiscent of the introduction to that show. I'd ask for a coffee
shop comp, they'd want to know where I was staying, why I was not
staying at the Big B, two pieces of ID, why I didn't have a DL,
etc...They wanted information, and they weren't getting it!

I think the Wynn booth tries to get it right, but are frequently
hamstrung by higher-ups. The reality is, if you're playing more than
$20K ci a day on the non full pay bank, you really should be dealing
with a host for anything more exotic than the buffet, the coffee
shops, or the bars.
