i am only aware of one instance of singer doing such tests in the
presence of a skeptic, and the results were indistinguishable from
random chance:
https://www.videopoker.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2249
singer has stated in private email to me that "I've never said or gave
the perception that anyone could go out and experience what I have",
"I have no idea what others will experience or even if it depends on
the type of machine being played", and "the machines are programmed to
run in cycles in addition to their inherent cycles, and I have no idea
where it will be at any given time. Chances are it SHOULD perform
within an acceptable range of how it did for me, but no one has any
true idea at any given time."
in other words, singer is not putting forth a falsifiable hypothesis,
he's simply stating "this once happened to me, and it couldn't have if
the machines are random". he encourages others to try to reproduce his
results, but if they can't, his core message - that he has experienced
something which proves the machines are nonrandom - is unchanged.
it is left to the reader whether to give credence to a single
anecdotal and irreproducible report of something which seems
impossible.

The "5th card flipover" tests Singer is running refers to these three types of dealt hands: two pair, open end straights, and 4 to a flush. The odds are 4/47, 8/47, and 9/47. Is anyone on vpfree doing similar tests? As I recall this was discussed a month or two ago.
