The "5th card flipover" tests Singer is running refers to these three types of dealt hands: two pair, open end straights, and 4 to a flush. The odds are 4/47, 8/47, and 9/47. Is anyone on vpfree doing similar tests? As I recall this was discussed a month or two ago.

Is he talking about in that article "5th card flipover" when you throw away, say a 10 of clubs, and instead get a 10 of hearts, for example, instead of the card you need?

If that's what he's talking about, I've noticed that so many times I've indeed become suspicious myself at times. Though I've just dismissed it.

I assume RNGs are indeed random (or at least, if not, that the practicality of taking advantage of algorithm weakness runs into so many millions, that it's really not possible to take advantage of it)

HOWEVER, I myself am depending on the expertise of others and not my own personal experience with applying such tests ...so eh, whatever.

Good point, however this may be one way to prove conclusively that Singer is full of crap. Although I personally won't spend any time on it, perhaps others irked by Singer will.

One of the great thing's about public forums is that once in a while I
read someone's contribution that perfectly sums up my feeling on a topic
but expressed with much more clarity and entertainment value than I can
manage.

Bravo brumar_lv!

I don't recall subscribing to FREEvpFREE, and yet I keep seeing this
discussion of Rob Singer!?

It's amazing how much attention the name of Singer provokes in VP forums. People claim he's "so full of crap", but yet they won't go through the effort of disproving what he claims. Never heard of an advantage player yet that would try his system just to "PROVE" it won't work! Isn't that amazing!

It's equally amazing that you believe that APs have "never
tried his system just to prove it didn't work", because you
"have never heard of them doing so".

What leads you to the assumption that the AP community has NOT
tested his system and found it to be, as you so colorfully
phrase it, "crap"?

It's trivially proven not to work by simple math. Trying it wouldn't prove
anything.

Short 3 day trip to lost wages this past Tue, Wed, Thurs. There was no royal to be found on this trip as in the last 25 or 30 trips. Worse yet we didn't even get the dueces. We usually hit that once or twice a trip.
I had confidence that this might be the one as we were playing those dueces at Binions. That is the last place I hit a royal. It was on a Texas Holdem machine. They are long gone( I bought most of them). That was about 15 or 20 years ago.
Stayed at the Wynn for two nights. The third was going to be at the Golden Nugget. When we got there, I guess I had forgotten to make the reservation and they were sold out. We had free nights there through their private arrangement club. We made reservations at the Main Street station. The Cal was cheaper, but my wife refused to stay there after there was a shooting there a few years ago.
This morning was even worse. My wife had set her phone alarm to get up at 7:00. Forgetting that it still was on Central time. So alarm went off at 5. I get to the airport and they ask for id and I start to give them my drivers liscense only to realize that the guy at Binions never gave it back to me after signing me up for the slot club. I still was able to fly, but they did everything to me but a cavity search. (come on guys, a terrorist isn't going to fly without id). Then just before boarding my wife realizes that her cell phone was left back at the screening. She barely makes it back to board. (This growing old stuff stinks).
Before leaving I had gotten the iphone app you guys mentioned that Dean had made for the iphone. I really did love it. I had the original on my computer at home, but this allowed us to check on how to play a few hands as well as making sure the pay schedules were full pay.
By the way no combination of peeing in certain urinals while gambling seems to work.
Loved the bathroom at the Las Vegas Hilton were we went to see Sin City Bad girls.
I will post a picture of it in the picture part of vp free later on. The show was pretty good.
