Do guys like Bob Dancer play the majority of his VP at the Wynn now?
For $100 VP per game play, does the Wynn now have the best payout
tables and comps in town?
Just curious.
Thanks,
The Muff

My guess is that he's playing at the Mirage right now.
I can't see much advantage n playing at the Wynn right now with the low cashback percentage. However, I would suspect Bob (and other high limit players) might play just enough there to get established and then wait to see what happens in regards to offer, etc.

Bob always plays where he has an advantage - so I doubt that he plays at Wynn any - except maybe like we are going to do - play enough for two free buffets while checking out the place. There is also a possibility that he would play and stay there so he could write about it - then he could use the comp value to make it a positive play.
Now sometime Wynn might have a promotion - like double points, etc. - that would make their JoB a positive play - but I'm not holding my breath! I'm speaking as a local and someone who does not count comps in the total return of a play - we count comps as "gravy." However, many players are looking for a nice casino experience and plan to pay anyway for luxurious accommodations - so in that case, anything that saves you out-of-pocket expenses can be counted in your total return. I know many advantage players who do!

Skip,
Was your guess that he's playing at the 'Mirage' based on the double-points-as-free-play promotion? I was going to do just that on Sunday, but asked at the club booth just before midnite Saturday and was told that the promotion only applies to reel slots. I called again on Sunday and was told the same thing.

That was exactly what I was thinking. I thought there might be a restriction. If Scot Krause is reading this, consider it a heads up.

The vpFREE Mirage page at http://members.cox.net/vpfree/Mira.htm states that a similar promotion occurred in March 2004:
"Mirage offers FREE PLAY PLUS, which allows you to trade in your Cashback amount for double the amount in FREE PLAY." Cashback earned on Video Poker machines isn't eligible for FREE PLAY PLUS benefits."
Ok. I'll check it.
