I haven’t been there in over 10 years, but it used to be fun. Where can I get up to date info? Did they ever do anything with the closed Harrah’s ?
Does anyone go to Tunica?
I live about 4 hours away and go about 10 or 12 times a year. Harrah’s is still closed and doesn’t show any sign of life. Caesars still has two properties there, Horseshoe and Roadhouse, which are side by side. These are the two that I mostly go to. VP is not that great there but I like the atmosphere, people and food. They are also reasonable with the comps. They have $1 9/5 JOB and 8/5 at 25 cents. Sams Town still has 9/6 at 25 cents and $1. I was an emerald there for over 20 years but have quit them due the way they have cut their comps and just the lack of interest in their costumers. If you were there 10 years ago, it is still about the same. Not much to do except the Casinos. The Mississippi River Boat Cruise no longer runs. You need a car to travel between the Casinos as they are grouped 3 together,2 together, then 1,1,1. No shuttle between. Ballys recently changed ownership and now is called First Jackpot. VPFree 2 has what looks to be an accurate listing of the VP but you have to look under Gulf Coast to find Tunica.
