I noticed in the data base that the Sahara has %.5 cash back, and also has NSUD
and 9/6 JB. Pretty high cash back, but I've never seen any posts about the
Saraha, or any ideas on room comping requirements, or mailed offers?
Anyone have any experiance there?

I stayed there 2 days last week ($34 Sun - Thur). Room was nice.
They also have bonus poker all quads pay 35 (99.66%) - only saw 3 of
them - 2 near slot club, one way at other end of casino.
Was disappointed that the coffee shop didn't offer any of the usual
specials.

My wife and I go there for some $1 blackjack. Its okay for that. They have a deal where you can pay $40 for $50 worth of chips (I think you need a special coupon), and we did pretty good on that.
We played a little bit of VP, but didn't get any offer's in the mail.
The roller coaster is cool, too, but I couldn't talk my wife to go on it, so I went alone.

The Sahara has a quarterly coupon book which has a which gives you
double cash back on up to $1000 worth of play. I usually give them
that much play, play the 50 for 40 and the free ace at blackjack, and
move on. That is enough to get their quarterly magazine which offers
you casino rate rooms. Don't know what it would take to get rooms
comped.
I stayed there once, room was OK, nothing special. I think it was
summer casino rate of 2 weeknights for $27 a night, one night free.
This was a year or 2 ago.
The best EV of any game there is the 9/6 DDB with a $1500 royal and a
$12,500 sequential royal. Huge variance on these machines; I once
played a $1000 session, hit 4 aces without kicker, and came out
behind. It can be exciting though. Once I was dealt the sequential
KJ of hearts, then watched the AQ of hearts come up in order. Last
card--the Ace of Clubs. Worst ace I've ever seen.
I think I'll stick to NSUD from now on.
