Do you use FP strategies for non-FP games?

For the most part, I've been using the Frugal strategies for my play
(which hasn't necessarily been a lot). However, most of the games
that I play are not Full-Pay (7/5 BP, for example).

When you play these non-FP games, do you adjust your strategy to match
the game... or do you take a FP strategy (like 9/6 JOB) and use it?

If you use an alternate strategy, what do you consider to be "close
enough" in returns; less than .05% difference?

Do you have Frugal Video Poker or just some strategy charts? If you
have the program (if you do not, you might want to get one of several
good ones out there) just put in the paytable you are playing and it
will give you the altered strategy.

I do have FVP, but the main issue that I have with this (and yes, it
is a stupid issue) is that I like the compact strategies that the
strategy cards provide. For me, wielding a 8x11 piece of paper
doesn't seem to be efficient.

Get a paper cutter or scissors and trim the excess paper. Almost all
my FVP strategies are 3 by 6-8 inches and fit easily into a shirt
pocket when folded. A handy feature is you can write notes on the back
for anything you have trouble remembering. It costs nothing to replace
the strategy when it is worn out, damaged, etc.

Hi DeucesWild,

If you have FVP, you don't need to either walk around with an 8 1/2 x
11" sheet of paper , or a folded over sheet of paper in your shirt
pocket. FVP allows you to save these strategy charts in a Rich Text
Document format (don't use plain text). You can then hit select all
under the edit menu and change to font size down to 6 or 7 (try both)
and use Courier New (Arabic) style.

Then trim the strategy card and have it laminated. If you are dealing
with Decuses Wild or Jokers Wild, you can fold the strategy so that
it is two sided before lamination. You can keep these in a checkbook
style (4" x 7"). I carry many different strategies around this way.

Hope this helps ....

It was not me that asked. I do exactly the same. Reduce the size
of the print out, either by manipulating the fonts or just run it
reduced on the copy/printer. Like you, I make them two sided to keep
them compact. I go one step further and leave out the no brainers.
Then I "laminate" them using clear shipping tape which leaves them
flexible to bend with your body in your pocket.
