I also travel to NV, from the Midwest, approximately 8-10 times
annually. My average stay is five days. During a gambling adventure,
I normally play VP 8-10 hours daily. When I was younger and not able
to travel as often, I sometimes played longer hours each day.
Flying in a big bird for 3 1/2 - 4 hours, is my favored mode of
transport. I tried a broomstick once but ran out of gas over Utah.
in case you are unaware; there are NO casinos in Utah! {{O:
My VP playing USED to take place approximately 80% of the time in
LV, and 20% of the time in Reno. Formerly, I only patronized Reno
during the summer months. Now, my play is about evenly divided
between the two cities. I try to alternate visting my two favorite
cities every other trip.
This past year I was in LV in January, April, July and September, and
will be back again in December. I've visited Reno in February, May,
August and November. I've also done some gambling in St. Louis in
May and September and in Phoenix in March.
I never gamble in nearby IL or IN casinos, and almost never outside
of NV unless I'm on a Cub's baseball vacation in St.Louis or Phoenix.
I also still work fulltime in my office......at least when I'm home
for a short work-break (though some of my colleagues might take
issue with that statement). {{O:
Several friends have suggested that I move to NV and save the time
spent airborne, as well as the plane fare. I am reluctant to do
that for a few reasons; not the least of them being I am concerned
that was VP available to me every day, I might lose the great rush
derived from anticipating my next trip to NV!
