Do Casinos Punish Lucky Players?

--snip--

So, casinos absolutely don't punish lucky players.

They just may not invite them back.

Having made a few phone calls to various props this last week I came
up with the following theory for MARKETING OFFERS not necessarily what
a host is going to give you.

1) It's all f--king random.

Thats it, end of theory. Due to all the M&A over the last few years
and incomplete and half a$$ed mergers of comp systems it's a mess out
there.

Harrah's is basing it off of 3 things.

1) Your true ADT of all props.
2) Your ADT of the region (LV, AC, Reno)
3) Your ADT of that particular prop.

Win or Loss does not matter at most levels. Above a certain point it
will but for the most part its play based.

Now also with Harrah's:

A) Marketing can be MONTHS behind on giving or taking away offers.
B) Individual regions can change what they want depending on the
season and booking trends.

Other Points:

They have purged most of the Casears empire stuff for offerings but
high level players from there STILL get random stuff.

MGM/Mirage (some based on conversations with employees and some
evidence from various Vegas discussions)

Offers are based on play at individual hotel as compaerd to other
hotels. i.e. give TI 25k of play a day for 4 days and only give NYNY
3K of play over the same 3 days. You are going to get buried in offers
from BOTH TI to get you back and NYNY to get you to play at the TI
level at their place. If you won big or lost big it does not matter.
HOWEVER at the return trip if you win big after they gave you a room &
food you are going to get dropped from that particular hotels offers.
NOT the entire chain. If you won big at the TI on your 2nd visit that
they comped you still should get NYNY offers. Play big at the NYNY
next 2 trips and TI offers start again.

Venetian.

Based 100% on play only. They don't track win or loss below a certain
level. No mention of level however. That being said they seem to be
stingy on offers.

And that's exactly what they did. Two consecutive RFL with royal
trips, no offers from the Mirage since. BUT, you should see how my
offer page filled up with Monte Carlo et al.

So, let me understand this coorectly: I'm supposed to give two trips
to a property I don't like anyway before the Mirage will start sending
me offers again???

No wonder I haven't stayed at an MGM-Mirage property since April.

And no future reservations, either.

It's not just "lucky" players, I have stopped getting offers since they bought Steve Wynn out. I get offers from Wynn and Harrahs but nothing from MGM-Mirage. It's a shame since my wife and I honeymooned at Mirage and made it our "special place." I guess the suits don't care about loyal customers.
