guests at the casinos a couple times a year, but my guests must be more
grateful than Ted's. My nephew is thrilled when I can get a room for him
with his girlfriend or his buddies. He's extremely grateful, as are his
parents the couple of times I've gotten them a room. Maybe Ted needs a new
set of friends (unless it's relatives who are taking advantage, and then
you're out of luck).
Ouch! That got me below the belt, Elaine. Good news doesn't get the airtime.
But I guess I deserved it as I should have mentioned my good friends too.
Ironically I have two friends/co-workers who represent both sides of the coin
and whose offices are right across from each other. Both have received stays
which were upgraded to suites. One is on our city council & is probably
pretty effective because she doesn't mind asking me to help her out when she
goes to LV or Reno. I was finally able to coax the other to take one night at
NYNY on her way to the Grand Canyon & another night on the return where NYNY
gave her a fabulous upgrade. She & her friend say they can't ever accept
another stay in Las Vegas again as they want to preserve that memory as the
ultimate experience.
As for your situation, you're blessed to have a sister who has raised her son
with appreciation for others. May your gene line continue and propagate.
