Just got back from MS. We got several free plays for the month, but also received a $150 dining coupon for Sunday (yesterday).
The coupon came just a little while ago, much closer than usual to the effective date. Why, I can't imagine. The place was packed all weekend, and the average height of the customers was at least six inches, maybe a foot shorter than normal. The Jonas Brothers had 3 concerts, one on Friday, and two on Saturday, and you really had to be careful not to trip over the rug rats, including my two adorable grandkids. In addition, the bars & lounges were full with the baseball playoffs & NFL games. So why they chose this Sunday to jam a few more people in with the food offers, I'm not sure.
BTW, those food coupons are NOT single-use, although some of the restaurants pretend they are unless you call them on it. They are actually debit coupons that can be used just like the shopping coupons, except just for food. Even with the grandkids (actually, especially with the grandkids ages 6 & 8) we weren't going to spend $150 at one of the upscale restaurants, so I used it several times during the day.
As for playing, I was much, much under my average daily, with the concert Saturday and a trip to Mystic Aquarium Sunday. And the fact that I couldn't hit much of anything when I did play didn't lengthen my sessions. Sitting at the bar and only playing between pitches in my beloved Yankees games also significantly slowed my # of hands per hour.
I really wonder how much different their total handle was for the weekend from what they would expect with concerts aimed at those of us who have reached legal gaming age. I don't think they made it up to any great extent with revenues at CyberQuest, although that was also packed to the rafters.
I did get $100 free play today, instead of the minimum $50, and the bride got $25, instead of $10.

Does any one else get dining coupons regularly? Or am i getting free play
instead? Just curious as i had thought they did away with the coupons.
I've been getting the $75 free play coupons and I did receive a $100 dining
coupon for Sunday.
