That leaves his private life open for rebut just like his results, system,

him? Give me a break and like Alan said, go cry a river.

Not to comment on this specific situation (Rob Singer) but I have been an
internet junkie for more than a couple of years. Even the unruliest (word?)
forums had some unwritten rules. One was to respect the wall between what
went on in computerland and what went on in the real world. More than half of
us use internet names. If I looked up DER145 in the National Phone Directory,
I don't think I'd get any hits. And no one of you saw me on TV even when they
were interviewing all those Chiefs after the sniper.

In the specific case that I'm not talking about, the member developed a
personae which seems to be at least partly at odds with reality. I don't
think a lot of people believed all of what that member was posting anyway so
what's the big shock? I have posted that I have a chemical engineering degree
but that now I'm an IRS enrolled agent. Maybe I'm really a belly dancer or a
Senator. I think there are only two people in all the VP forums who would
know me from Donald Duck. That's the game we play and the rules should be
respected.

Two cents over.

All this time I thought I was talking to real people. Now I find I've been talking to Donald Duck.
