Subject: XVP - Edgewater Hotel-Casino in Laughlin

Can anyone give me information on the hotel part of this place? From
what I've read it has all kinds of fpvp; at least fpdw and 10/7 DB.
That will take care of me. I don't think that's the problem. I've
read some not so good reviews about the hotel. From what I've
gathered it's pretty run down, the rooms are dirty, and the walls are
less that paper thin. Are these comments correct, or do they come
from people who have had bad days on the vp machines? I have a two
night stay scheduled for the end or the month, and if this place is
really bad I want to get the reservations cancelled. Any
information you can give me will be appreciated. May the cards be
with you. Bill

Have only stayed there a few times. Maybe once or twice last year.

The rooms were serviceable, clean but not luxurious. Yes I would stay there
again but my druthers is Golden Nugget 1st, Harrahs 2nd when it comes to
accommodations. Walls may be thin but that's probably true of just about every place
in Laughlin. Run down? Maybe as the hall lighting from what I remember was
dim & gives you foreboding of what's to come but you open the door & it wasn't
bad. Even though neighboring Flamingo has rooms constructed so that all have
good views & Edgewater built it so that half the outside rooms have no view, I'd
put rooms on a par with Flamingo's. If you don't care to see Colorado River
or the garbage bins, ask for a courtyard room which overlooks the swimming
pool. Also ask for a map & directions as it felt like I was going through a maze
to find my room in the hinterlands.

IMO, don't cancel if your other options are Pioneer (worse) or Colorado Belle
(same) or River Palms (same but better vp).
