Thanks for the information Bob (hey- how many Bobs on this forum?) My
truck has a 36 gallon tank, and I can make the drive without fueling
up, but it is a big purchase when I fill up to come home. Most credit
card purchases at the pump cap a purchase at $75, but that is not
enough to fill my tank! I have to use a combination of credit card and
ATM card to complete the task.
I read today that they are charging $4.09/gallon in Needles. It sure
pays to shop around in the area for gas.
C, when I left Laughlin on Saturday gas was $3.33. In Bullead it was
$2.97 or $2.98,
something like that.>>>
When you reach Needles, you have 2 choices to get to Laughlin: CA side or AZ
side. If you stay on the CA side, it's a fun ride for a sports car (lots of
dips & curves) but no gas stations in between unless you detour to Avi. On AZ
side, you take 95 (?) N which is pretty much straight & level & the gas
station price differential to Needles has been 70 cents lower or more. Make sure
you cross over to Avi or the next bridge is the one next to Riverside.
