15. XVP TV IN CASINOS

Can anyone out there give a reasonable answer to why all casinos have state
of the art tv's plastered all over their walls tuned to various networks with
no sound or closed captions?The only thing I can think of is decorations !

I see this everywhere too, and also in many sports bars. I guess if all the TVs were each playing WITH sound, there would be too many stations competing for your ear with their sound track, and you wouldn't be able to really hear any of them. In fact, most of the time you couldn't anyway, with the casino or bar noise. Of course, they are there so you can watch the sporting events if you're a sports bettor, without having to stop gambling and go somewhere like the sports book or your room.
