4a. Majestic Star FYI

Went to get some shrimp, but a roach scampered accross the counter.
Buffet not even worth it for free.
I decided a year or so ago that the buffet was not worth it, even for free, even before the roach story. It's got to be one of the worst casino buffets ever.
If you're "Star" or "Superstar", try the VIP lounge / buffet; when it's stocked, it's decent, although it does not have "choices", just a salad bar, an entree and some sides, and deserts.
Their food coupons now usually are for a free buffet OR for $6 (the buffet is about $10-12) off on food elsewhere. I go to Wings and Things now - good food, although it can take forever to get through the line to place an order -- and if you have two comps, you can't combine them.
I had a $6 comp and a $12 comp, and tried to buy $17.50 worth of food, but was forced to first use the $6 one and then the $12 one -- since I had to use them separately, and the food prices didn't "fit" the comps exactly, I ended up paying a little "over" on one of them. Ridiculous - and of course, no one can think or make a decision to fix it -- "that's the way we have to do it".
I asked to speak to a manager, and they didn't have the number; when they found it, it rang right into their own phone. Duh..
Haven't been up for a few months, so can't provide any up to date info on the VP there, but last time I visited, there was plenty of single line $1 9/6 JoB. Also, on the top level of MS II, next to the poker room, in the deli, the tables have table-top 5-cent 100-play machines with 9/6 JoB.
Only six or eight of the machines there, though, and sometimes they're taken up by people who are (only) eating.
Again, that is NOT up to date info; it may have changed.
