elaine you are one rotten lady. i can't believe that
you sat down in a CASINO and a non-smoking one at that
and made not only rude but MEAN comments to a person
smoking a cigar. if i'd been at that table, i'd have
asked the pit boss to throw YOU out. how dare you?
he was there first - you should have been the one to
leave. on behalf of my gay friends, i say nuts to you

Subject: Re: Greektown Detroit casino barringsThanks for the link to this article. I never ceased
to be amazed at
the stupidity shown by casinos. I would bet that a
good number of
the people tossed out were playing at a long term
disadvantage. Some
of the quotes from the casino spokesman are
priceless, such as "We
love winners...". Um, no you don't. Or how about
"...this decision
preserves the maximum opportunity to win for our
other 4.3 million
guests". So they are making money from 4.3 million
people and losing
to 30 people and they are worried??? This provides
further proof
that casinos can't stand the thought of even one
single person
playing with an advantage over them. Blackjack
players have been
putting up with this sh@# for years. I hope this
isn't the start of
a trend in video poker.EE

Subject: Greektown in the media - barring VP playersSaw a blurb on one of the Detroit TV news programs
this morning -
Greektown's recent practice of barring VP winners
and hauling them
out of the casino in full view of everyone present
has finally showed
up on the local media radar screen. There's an
article in today's
Detroit Free Press about it - here's a link to the
online version:
http://www.freep.com/news/statewire/sw67012_20021125.htm
Anthony Curtis is quoted in this article. I have
the strong
impression that the print edition is much more
detailed - the TV
edition showed one of the news anchors reading from
the print
edition, and she read a few excerpts that didn't
appear in this
online version. Apparently the barred players
cannot even use the
parking garage (2 blocks away) without risking
arrest for trespassing.

Subject: Greektown Video Poker so-so at best!As a Detroiter who has played quite a bit at
Greektown I am really
amazed they're trying to pull this off. The game
selection is not
that good. Nobody is beating them on a consistant
basis. There's $1
Pick'em, but with .167% cashback it's worth about $3
an hour. There
is9/6 JOB and a bonus deuces progressive that pays
less than %99 at
reset. Greektown announced today they're laying off
100 employess.
Their bottom line is the worst of the four casinos
in this market. I
have to believe they're simply trying to improve
their profit margin.
I hope the bad PR generated from this really takes
it's toll. The
casinos here are a joke compared to Vegas in terms
of quality of
games and comps. Personally I have really limited
