Thanks for the correction; I was at a meeting at Paris and the info I shared
was "announced" by the meeting chair as the "new law in Nevada". Your facts
make more sense, since I saw people smoking in some of the areas you
indicate as OK to do so.

I just assumed they were violating the law - incorrect assumption. Or, they
might have been following the new law, and the announcement may have been
made based on Paris interpretation, policy, or application that had been
communicated to the meeting folks.

The gray area is a casino needs to provide a smoke-free path to get into a
restaurant or food court. This pathway might not be the most convenient. But
if there really is one way then some gambling areas might be affected.

An example is the food options at the Colorado Belle in Laughlin. MGM/Mirage
made the south end of the main casino floor non-smoking. This allowed a
smoke-free pathway to the snack bar and the Boiler Room. It also provided access
to the escalators and elevators to get upstairs where most food is served.
All of upstairs is now smokefree with four restaurants and a food court.
