For me, it's because he's selling snake oil, and he knows it. He doesn't care how much his readers lose as long as he sells his books.

I don't ever remember him pitching his book.
He spends much of his time putting others down and he is very abrasive
but not selling. More like trying to convince the world that everyone
else is wrong.
