Does anyone notice this:
While holding three cards to the royal the redraw delivers one of the
cards needed but not the other. This seems to happen quite often.
Seems similar to slots almost giving you the symbol you need. Machines
aren't fixed in vegas....right!

I don¹t know which VP machine you were on, but most VP machines deal 10
cards,
5 face down and 5 face up. Some deal he first 5 cards from a shuffled deck
and then,
for the draw, the next 1 to 5 cards The cards are dealt according to the
number the RNG,
(random number generator), generates.
I have also experienced what you attribute to ³fixed² machines, however
since I live in Las Vegas,
and am familiar with the way our Gaming Commission and Gaming Board operate,
I am certain
that a casino would not risk losing their license and having to close by
fixing a machine.
I also doubt that a casino, in Nevada, could ³fix² a machine since it would
require replacing
the RNG. In Nevada the program that a machine uses must be filed with the
Gaming Board,
which conducts random inspections, on sight, of the electronics in machines
to make certain
that the program has not been tampered with.
Casinos order machines by the percentage they want to keep (the ³vig²) and
the manufacturer
provides the electronics to accomplish this in long term play. In VP, the
yield is determined by
the pay table. Hence you will see VP machines vary from 5/7 to 6/9 for JOB
VP.
