Subject: Harrah's "Winterfest" in VegasI've gotten an invite from Harrahs to the "Winterfest" VP tourneys in Vegas.
I'd like to take advantage of the free room nights & tourney entry. But I
understand that there's no decent VP at Harrahs LV.I've done $40K coin-in at Harrahs properties this year, including $20K in
one day in Reno to get my Diamond status. Since Harrahs Reno keeps offering
me free room & food & cash, I expect to make several more visits there this
year & reach the $100K coin-in to extend my Diamond level through 2006.So I'm wondering... if I go to Winterfest in Vegas & stiff them on VP
play... but I've given good play in Reno... will the stiffing in Vegas have
a bad effect on future offers? I'm thinking that maybe if I keep up my
Diamond status through play in Reno, I can get away with taking advantage of
the Winterfest in Vegas for "free" without negative effects. If anyone familiar with the Harrahs system can give me a hint, I'd
appreciate.Stuart (RandomStu)
Here is my experience. I went Diamond in a Day at Harrahs Laughlin the first
week in January 2005. They got 1888 tier points from me that day. I now
have 3440 tier points. I booked twelve different mailers for tourneys, concerts,
cash for gas, crappola and plain old room offers.
Currently I have offers booked for another VP tourney and the rare three day
offer for Bill Cosby on the Halloween weekend. My on-line offer sheet still
includes various properties for two nighters, the CS&N concert, also included
six for the Winterfest promo in Vegas...over 25 lines right now.
I have not played a tracked dime on several trips but used the Diamond lounge
and burned points in the gift shop, played under 1k on others, but my mailbox
still is stuffed through November.
I have been waiting for the faucet to be turned-off. YMMV.
