So how does Binions give you a 6-pack? Laughlin joints have done similiar
promotions over the years, but have not scheduled this kind of promo so far
this summer, except for Harrahs which gave out 12-packs of Coke for breathing on
certain "Winning Will Find You" promo days.
The Pioneer gave you a coupon for any .25 and above quad. You could then get
your 6-packs in the parking lot, like 10a-8p from a refridgerated tent.
People could drive right up and pop their trunks. Ten years ago the slot
attendant used to just bring a sixer right to your machine. This resulted in some
cases piled high on machines, a funny sight.
I think the Riverside did this kind of promo too. Don Laughlin is
celebrating his 39th year in business this month. The rumored story goes that a
Budweiser guy irritated him along time ago. Anyone actually know the real story? To
this date you cannot get a A/Busch product in his joint...so no Bud to-go.
