Subject: Re: LVA Question of the DayAnybody at all interested about today's LVA Question of the Day
about Laughlin should also check out the news link below. It'll
give you everything you need to know about Laughlin casinos
and entertainment. It's published every Wednesday.
I agree Bob. This omission puts in question just how much of an expert they
are using to answer the question. The Entertainer is by far the best source
of Laughlin info. Picking-up the hard-copy is a must, which will includes all
the ads and deals.
The one link is for the LVCVA website, but it is not apparent who hosts the
other two links. When in Laughlin stopping by the LVCVA visitor center (across
from the Riverside) will get you current info, as well as for Vegas.
Quoting the writer-
"Overall, however, we don’t recommend going to Laughlin to see any type of
entertainment other than a well-known headliner."
What does this actually mean? Don't bother seeing music or shows if you are
going to be in Laughlin? There are fine free tunes in Laughlin starting with
Kokopelli's Lounge at EW. I would put Hotel California or Chris Hiatt up
against any free act anywhere. Paid acts currently include the production shows at
Riverside and Harrahs. Earl Turner used to have the gig at Harrahs (does New
Orleans Harrahs now and did the Rio before that). The Riverside's Loser's
Lounge usually does two bands a night. River Palms just had "Yesterday" for
free in the Bermuda Club. Oh well, the Vegas bias shows through.

p.s. I would post this at LVA but my forum access has been screwed up since
I re-upped.
