Subject: Edgewater changesLoyalty cash ended 6/30. Originally it was hoped it would go on
unofficially
throughout the summer. The original expiration date was 5/31 but players
were told that it would keep on going. As usual hosts were given little notice & were very apologetic about it.
But
I let them know that I appreciated being able to enjoy it for the few extra
days that I did.I also appreciated the way they did the Treasure Chest where they did run
out of coupons but printed up copies & kept on giving them out. This was in
stark contrast to what Golden Nugget did a couple of yrs ago when
scratchers ran
out half-way through the promotion & they just stopped. Yep I'm still mad
about it!BTW on the last day of Treasure Chest, they were giving out leather
jackets.
Fellow players were encouraging me to go in & get one but I procrastinated &by the time I went in there no more leather jackets & no more Treasure
Chest
envelopes. Oh well, my average/envelope was a measly $1.15 per & too many
t-shirts & caps.

Actually the Loyalty Cash program was promoted for April only. They had some
signage in the casino and ads in the Laughlin Entetainer magazine. Since May
the only promotion material was a single 8 1/2x 11 inch sign on the slot
club desk. Even this signage had a 4/29 expiration date in the fine print. I am
glad it lasted through June. One almost has to wonder if someone was trying
to see if the new guys, MGM/Mirage, were paying attention.
The Treasure Chest promo- well it seems the good prizes are given out early
in the promo. I ended up with 4 half dozen of donuts coupons, one $5 and two
bobble heads for my 35-$5 BJs on the Lucky Wheel BJ table game. I valued the
cost of a Treasure Chest chance at (.6x5x21x$5) $3.15. What does a half dozen
donuts go for at Krispy Kreme? It tought me a lesson, but I had a blast for
six hours playing two hands on a $2 table.
Bring on Joel Stein and the All-American game show July 12th-August 30th.
