What are quints.

1. A western Asian shrub or tree (Cydonia oblonga) having white flowers and
hard applelike fruit.
2.The aromatic, many-seeded fruit of this plant, edible only when cooked.

Once used as decorative card-back designs on vp machines in Jakarta. Were
eliminated when Indonesia became a Muslim nation over 1000 years ago.
Attempt made to use them as a fruit on Aladdin slots when it first
reopened, but their use led to bankruptcy.
Not currently used in any gaming worldwide.

Sorry but Cydonia oblonga is the scientific name for
quince a member of the Rosacea family that includes
pears and apples. 'Quints' is just a contraction of
the word, 'quintuplets' which literally means five
(such as five multiple-birth babies or five-of a-kind
eights in Joker Wild poker.
