Hi, QZ!
I just duplicated what you said you did. My version of WinPoker has no
asterisks by any of the quads in the default Double Jackpot Poker game.
The return
is 99.6274%, and the % of Ret column adds up to 99.63%. Variance is
22.39195.
I then defined a new game, with the same paytable as DJP. Got the exact
same
return and the exact same sum for the % of Ret column, plus the exact same
variance.I don't know what the asterisks mean in your paytable. Have you tried
clicking on Set To Default? Maybe you or someone else had previously
changed the
paytable in that game, and didn't set it back to the default paytable?
Just
guessing here.
I double checked, that is not the problem. For the pre-defined game, I get
the same 99.62%, but the numbers in the game return don't add up. They only
add up to 98.47%. When I defind the same game myself BOTH the computer
generated number and the sum of the hand returns are both 98.47%.
I have version 5.0 of winpoker. Something is wrong;. I find it odd that the
change
from quad 2222-4444 to JJJJ-KKKK can more than offset the drop from 125 to
100 for the 2222-TTTT. My instincts tell me that the 98.47% number is
correct.
I assume the default payscale is the same on both versions
800 / 50 / 80-40-20 / 8 5 4 3 2 1
BTW I have version 5.0
