I qualified for 7 stars last year. Considering you have to
accumulate TEN TIMES more points to go from Diamond to 7*, in my
opinion it is NOT worth it if your primary interest is VP. Keep in
mind you get half as many points as the slot players do. This means
you have to put in a cool million coin in to qualify for 7*.
True there are lots of offers and the free trip, etc. etc. but I do
not see HEH catering to the interests of VP players. I did not get
any bottles of free scotch and my room charges depleted points and
then I had to pay for the balance. I did question this with my host
at Flamingo and he cited HEH policy about using points first.
Another example of inconsistent comp policy.
Yes, I am not a big fan of Harrah's/Caesar's or whatever they call
themselves this year...
There are also benefits unique to your home property- I get an
annual dinner
with a $500 food/beverage credit, an annual gift (you pick from a
catalogue,
value of most items is about $300-500), first 2 rows seating at
all shows,
concerts, etc- always get a suite at my home property, that's all I
can recall
right now.
