Diamond Status

I hope you are right about this, but you have been the only contributer who

thinks we are good until 3/31/2007<

I obiviously do not know if this is true, but when I picked up my diamond
card, which I did in a day (but they told me I had to come back to pick it up as
the computers would take a day or two to compile the info), the boothling
told me I had until the end of the year to get the other 8000 tier points
(10,000 total) to automatically keep my diamond status for 2006.

I did diamond in a day and my rewards card shows 03/06 so must not be till 07 but i have enough tier credits for 06-07 i believe and will ask my host at laughlin

My husband and I are both Diamond members, getting it the regular way. Our cards show 3/31/06. But in March we will then get the new cards that will be good till March 31, 2007.

My reply was based on my experience which was not
"diamond in a day." I hit 10000 tier points in 2004
and immediately received a diamond card with a March
2005 expiration. In March 2005 the card was upgraded
to a March 2006 expiration even before I played any in
2005. My 2004 play was toward 2005 status and I was
told you are always playing toward the following year.
However, this MAY NOT APPLY to "diamond in a day." I
hope I haven't mis-stated this for DD and will check

I never noticed the expiration date on my card.
Went to the Diamond lounge early in April and was
denied entrance because my card expired 3/31/2005 AND
their computer was down. So I went to the booth a day
or two later and they issued me a card with a
3/31/2006 expiration date withoug comment.

I checked with the booth at the Showboat yesterday. They said that
I will get a new card in March, good until March of 2007. Now, I
did not specifically tell them that I had gotten DIAD, but I'm just
assuming that they treat the cards the same.

credits to earn Diamond status in one day. My new card says 3/2006.
Will I have Diamond status through 3/2007, or will I have to earn a
total of 10,000 credits this year to be Diamond through 3/2007?"

   Harrah's e-mail reply: "Thank you for your email. You've reached
Diamond status, congratulations! You're good through 2007. Early in
2007, you'll receive invites for card renewal and other special
offers for Platinum and Diamond members."

Harrahs qualification period is the calander year 1-1 thru 12-31, and
when you 'qualify' you are automatically given the card for the
'current' period as if you had previously qualified. There has been
some debate, but I believe that if you never ever played at a harrahs
and then went to a property that does diamond in a day on 1/1/07 and
did the required play, you would be given a diamond card that would be
good thru 3/31/09 because all cards are good thru 3/31/xx and you
qualified during 2007 which 'qualifies' you for the card year 4/01/08
and ends on 3/31/09.

From what I have seen, this works for most players clubs, if you
qualify at the beginning of a qualifiing period, you move up
immeadiately and continue thru the end of the period you qualified for.
