Diamond lounge

Our last trip to LV about a year ago we stayed at Paris and enjoyed
good food and drink in their Diamond lounge. They even had a pretty
decent breakfast on weekends. Lately I have been reading they (all
Harrah's properties) have cut back on the food and downgraded the
drink. Can anyone update me on the status, especially at Paris
(upcoming trip in the works).

Thanks,
Rick & Lucky Lucy

Rick,
Was there on 11/03-04 (only make 2 lv trips a year). Visited the lounger a few times and honestly was impressed compared with what I had heard. Don't remember their exact hours but on weekdays they opened at 4pm so no breakfast. Went around 6pm and there was a pretty good selection of finger food that was hot. Went later in the pm and most of the hot items were gone but there were some other snacks.

Hope this helps...enjoy your stay!

Richard

Thanks, Richard, this is what I was looking for.

Compared to May of last year ('07), the diamond lounge in
September '08 was really downgraded. Last year the white wine
included Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio, the red wines included
Shiraz and some better Cabernet. This past September the only white
was Chardonnay (not very good either) and cheap Cab or Merlot. My
husband likes Sambucca. That was not available the last time either,
but was in the past.

There were really no hot snacks to speak of and no wraps, mostly just
chip and dip type stuff.

That was just Paris. Flamingo was even worse.

Hey Rick and Lucy. I went to the Paris Diamond Lounge on 12/9/08 and
enjoyed chicken wings and soft mini tacos which were served hot.
There were also other snacks and dips available as well as deserts. I
was told by the host that the hot dishes were served only from 4PM
until 6PM so it's best to arrive around 4PM if that is what you are
interested in. Enjoy, I did. Bill

Does anyone know of any shuttles/vans/busses, etc. that run between Vegas
(ideally, McCarran) and Laughlin, which would also allow a small dog in a
carrier?

Thanks!
