What is the latest on hours, food, etc. at diamond lounges in Las
Vegas?
I was at the Flamingo at noon on Sunday getting Toni Braxton tickets
for June.
I thought a cup of coffee would be nice before hopping on the
monorail. To my shock, the Diamond Lounge was not even scheduled to
open until 4PM. I believe it closes at 9PM.
The day before at Harrahs I checked out the "hot food" at 4PM. It
consisted of nacho cheese dip for the numerous chips on the table and
some rolled up taquitos. Plus some small desserts. That was it.
Before 4 PM, you just get the chips when they open at noon.
Room was half empty but on a visit a few months ago it was packed in
the late afternoon. I think Harrahs is already feeling "buyer's
remorse" after signing onto their silly cost-cutting policies. The
staff is definitely frustrated, most expressing embarrassment.
