Harrahs Diamond Level is good at all Harrahs properties, not just
the Rio. The best thing we have found from being Diamond is access
to the clubs at their properties. The drinks are great and the food
is usually pretty good. There are also some perks like free parking
(in Atlantic City) some bonus points and special windows at the
booths.

I made Diamond at Harrah's New Orleans where I usually play. They've
issued me a parking card where I can park in their garage and not
have to pay or worry about getting my ticket validated. Just swipe
the parking card to get in and out. I also noticed an increase in
the amount of mailings I've received - slot tournamets, room offers,
free buffets, etc. I've also seen an increase in the amount of
bounce back cash I receive each month. I haven't figured out the
formula of "so much play = so much bounce back". Also, when I was
Gold and tried to book a room at Harrah's vegas or Rio using their
web site, I would only get casino rate. When I moved up to Platnium,
I was getting some free rooms - usually for weekdays, with casino
rate for weekends. When I moved up to Diamond, all rooms became free
for any night of the week.
I also have a question for everyone. I'll be staying at the Rio the
week of Dec 28 - Jan 4 for free from what I assume is based on my
play at Harrah's New Orleans. Some nights were comped via the website
and some nights are on coupons from promotional mailings. However
since neither Rio or Harrah's have good VP, I don't plan on playing
there much. Do you think this will affect my ability to get free
rooms there in the future? I do plan on continuing to play at
Harrah's New Orleans.
